August 2026 Staff Profile Update
Help prospective students, families, community partners, and other stakeholders get to know the people who make CMS of NNY possible. Please review your current resume or CV and provide any updates needed for your public staff profile.
Your profile should help families and clients understand your experience, teaching approach, areas of expertise, and the types of students you are best prepared to serve.
Community Music School of Northern New York works with independent 1099 contract instructors who are passionate about providing professional, student-centered music instruction in a welcoming community setting. Our contract model gives teachers flexibility while allowing them to be part of a larger school community with shared studio space, student referrals, administrative support, and opportunities to participate in programs, ensembles, workshops, and community events.
Instructors may accept students based on their availability, teaching style, and area of expertise, while maintaining professional standards that support a positive experience for students and families. We welcome teachers who are reliable, caring, communicative, and committed to helping students of all backgrounds and abilities grow through music.
If you are interested in teaching private lessons, group classes, ensembles, or special programs, we would love to hear from you.
